Starting from the coastal town of Santa Maria di Castellabate, you can reach the peak of Castellabate, which is distinguished by the expansive Belvedere di San Costabile, offering extensive coastal vistas. Adjacent to this viewpoint is the remains of a 12th-century castle. This castle, commissioned in 1123 by Saint Costabile, the town’s founder and patron saint, still has its original defensive walls.
