The province of Salerno is accessible from the north via the A1 Autostrada del Sole, which starts in Milan and continues to Caserta, then proceeds to Salerno on the A30. Through the Salerno-Avellino junction, it connects eastward with the A16 towards Bari and southward with the A3 Mediterranean motorway towards Reggio Calabria, traversing the entire province longitudinally.
Salerno can be reached by train:
– From the north: via the Tyrrhenian railway line, Monte del Vesuvio high-speed route.

A small monorail connects Salerno to the northeast area of the city, which is also home to a university. It traverses the Irno Valley and the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese area, reaching Caserta, where visitors can explore the largest royal palace in Europe, built by Luigi Vanvitelli.

Road connections are provided by major private and public companies, with arrivals and departures from both Parco Pinocchio and Piazza della Concordia, just a few meters from the central railway station and adjacent to the “Masuccio Salernitano” port. The port of Salerno is connected to various Mediterranean ports, particularly Palermo, Messina, and Tunis, with regular year-round services for passengers and vehicles.
