SALERNO

Salerno, the capital of our vast and varied province, is a gem set among the gentle curves of the Tyrrhenian coast, it stands majestically on the splendid Gulf of the same name.
This city, known since ancient Magna Graecia, kissed by the sun and caressed by the sea, is a true treasure chest of historical, cultural and landscape treasures.

The true center of gravity of the vast Campania region, in one hundred kilometres, it allows for the complete experience of visiting it.

The narrow streets of its fascinating historic centre, with its pastel-coloured historic buildings and stone-paved alleys, tell ancient stories of dominations and cultural influences. The Duomo, imposing and majestic, and its splendid crypt, stands to guard the city’s glorious past, while its bell towers seem to touch the blue sky.

The seafront, a long embrace of a promenade, is the ideal place to stroll at sunset, letting yourself be lulled by the sea breeze and overlooking breathtaking scenery that extends to the horizon.
The welcoming beaches, with their characteristic cobblestones, invite you to relax in the sun and immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The recently renovated Minerva Garden is a green oasis in the ancient heart of the city, offering a panoramic view that extends from the coast to the surrounding mountains. A place where nature and history blend in a harmonious embrace, giving unique emotions to anyone who decides to get lost among the flower-filled paths and ancient ruins. Place of cultivation of the simple people of the first and oldest Medical School of the ancient West and scene of the first female doctors in history such as the legendary Trotula de Ruggiero who gave perennial prestige to the Salerno tradition.

The surroundings of Salerno, dotted with picturesque villages and hilly landscapes, offer a journey through time through medieval castles, Romanesque churches and authentic food and wine treasures. Salerno is in fact the natural and geological beginning of the Amalfi Coast which develops towards the west, we like to define it as the first and largest city on the Amalfi coast coming from the south, famous for its breathtaking beauty, it is an essential stop, with its panoramic roads that wind between cliffs overlooking the sea and enchanting villages. Today it is connected quickly and continuously throughout the year with ferries and fast boats that connect to Positano and the adjacent Sorrento coast in less than an hour.

The Picentini mountains park offers the experience of experiencing the sea and the uncontaminated mountains with its lush nature, its fauna and its fresh springs in just a few tens of minutes towards the north east.

In this corner of paradise, between history and nature, Salerno and its surroundings present themselves as an irresistible invitation to explore and be enchanted by a world rich in traditions, authentic flavours, experiences and panoramas that touch the soul.
